One of the bigger changes for Alchemist will be the removal and simplification of many of the catalysts/reagents for the job class. Previously, there were 12+ different catalysts, one for each skill, and some skills with multiple catalysts. While this offered a lot of flavor, it created more problems, namely making the job class less accessible than others (see discord discussion). This has been changed to most skills using one of three types of a new item called Versatile Vial.
